DAY SEVEN
On the last day of the project, we connected the backrest rail to its poles with nails and dowels.
The overlap of the poles we cut off with the handsaw.
Then we gave the bench the last finish by sandpapering it, but before we started painting, one child had the great idea to add another rail to the backrest. We prepared the second rail and nailed it underneath the first rail.
At last we finally painted our bench with a mixture of linseed oil and thinners 1:1, which made the wood nice and shiny.
Look, how beautiful it is!
We put it on the lawn in front of the school-office.
The Foxes can really be proud of their work.
We had a wonderful time and a lot of fun working together.
