DAY FOUR
The next day we finished hammering the nails in the first pair of legs …
… and cut off the overlap with a handsaw.
Then we continued the process with the second pair of legs.
DAY FIVE
Before the weekend we started assembling the parts for the seat. We put the three large pieces upside down, put some spacers in between and connected the pieces with a clamp.
Then we marked the correct position for the two rails that were supposed to connect the parts of the seat.
We drilled 10mm wide holes through the rails and into the seat to put in wooden dowels.
The dowels came in a long stick. We cut them to the right length and made them a bit pointy on one end.
Then we applied some glue and hammered them into the holes.
After that it was time to put together the seat and the legs.
For that we drilled 3.5mm holes and used steel nails.
At the end of the day we prepared the diagonals for the additional support for the legs.
We used a template for the diagonal cut on the circular saw.
To be continued…
